Descent Evaluation


As described above, FDR will measure your vertical speed (VS / fps) at the moment of landing when the tires touch the ground and give you an evaluation score based on this value:

(1) CRASH at a speed of -1000 and worse,
(2) “Terrible Landing” between -600 fps and -1000, (-100 points)
(3) “Uncomfortable Landing” between -500 fps and -600, (-50 points)
(4) “Landing OK” between -300 fps and -500 (0 points)
(5) “Very good Landing” between -100 fps and -300, (+25 points)
(6) “Excellent Landing” between 0 fps and -100 will give (+50 points).

In VFR Flights;
(1) CRASH at a speed of -800 and a worse VS speed,
(2) “Terrible Landing” between -400 fps and -800, (-100 points)
(3) “Uncomfortable Landing” between -300 fps and -400, (-50 points)
(4) “Landing OK” between -150 fps and -300, (0 points)
(5) “Very good Landing” between -50 fps and -150, (+25 points)
“Excellent Landing” between 0 fps and -50 will give (+50 points).
